I have a funny story for you guys SO last night we’re all finishing up the evening meal when we started smelling smoke. It’s the beginning of “wildfire season” here in CA so it wasn’t totally surprising…you learn to live with it and totally know what a brush fire smells like…but this was a weird smoke, like a sweet smoke. We kept talking about it but didn’t see anything outside so we went about our business.  A little while later I took out the recycling, it was dark now, and boy the smell was strong and I thought “that’s a weird combination of like fabric softner and smoke” but I still didn’t see anything. Later, I let the dogs out-still weird but I see nothing… so we went to bed.  Cut to this morning…part of the routine includes taking the dogs into the backyard for a potty break and I’m standing there talking to Money when I realize that we’re missing a shrub….like it was there yesterday and it’s gone now….that’s weird, and oh, look! The tree is black on one side….and OH MY GOD! THE MISSING SHRUB ISN”T MISSING, IT’S ON FIRE!!! So, We’ll be spending the day finding electrician/lighting specialists to investigate and fix….now, where’s my whiskey coffee?   Oh, and the “sweet”? It was a lavender shrub…..

you guys have no idea how badly i need that bag…..it’s perfect in every way-it’s big, the turned straps that are actually usable make perfect sense, and the crossbody strap-i’m a sucker for a good crossbody strap…nevermind the fact that i’m OCD about silver hardware….do you know how hard it is to find bags with silver hardware?
